Glordias Silveranvil is the youngest of two sons born to his parents. He has lived his entire life in the shadow of his older brother, Belim Bolvir. Belim excelled in everything to which he put his hand. Glordias had to work for everything he earned, mostly castoffs and leftovers; he scrabbled, scrimped, and grasped in all he did, quickly becoming sneaky and sly. Glordias prefers the darkness and shadows to the light, even the dim light of the forge. He would much prefer to attack a foe from behind than in an honorable toe-to-toe battle.
His sneaking and scurrying brought him into contact with ancient and corrupted tomes. These texts taught him about the use of poisons and traps, as well as forms of underhanded spellcraft. He practiced with these skills; for the first time, something came easily to him, almost as if he had been born with them. He honed what little martial skills he had and became as proficient with poison-craft as his fellow dwarves did with metal-craft.
He is short and slender for a dwarf, standing at a stunted four feet tall and weighing only 120 pounds. His hair is black: stringy, and greasy; he exudes a rank, nasty odor — a mixture of sweat and dark chemicals. His pinched face and close-set, low-lidded eyes cause near-instant mistrust in all who meet him.
He has recently become the Regent to the Prince of the Hidden Barrier Stronghold after the tragic death of his brother. He has married his widowed sister-in-law, an act that has drawn the ire of his nephew (now step-son): the prince. He has spread the word throughout the stronghold that the prince is obviously unstable and crazed over his father’s death.
